Position: Project Manager
Reports to: VP of Technology Services
Location: Columbus, OH
Salary Range: $95,000 - $115,000

The Superior Group is looking for a Project Manager to lead Division 27 Technology Services projects, focusing on Structured Cabling, Security, Audio Video, Wireless, DAS, and low-voltage systems. Responsibilities include overseeing project execution, managing client accounts, building strong relationships, quoting and scheduling resources, and ensuring budget and timeline adherence.

 

Based at our Columbus headquarters, this role reports to the VP of Technology Services, with potential on-site work in Central Ohio depending on project size and scope.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages key accounts and finds ways to grows their book of business
  • Identify and mitigate project risks proactively, escalating concerns and solutions to Project Operations and Field Operations leadership and maintain safety across the jobsite.
  • Creates and manages the full project schedule (inclusive of resources) from project kickoff to project closeout
  • Manages all project finance requirements, including billings, project setup, project buy-out, project cost control, change order management, and cost to complete
  • Ensure timely availability of project materials, understand contract scope, and negotiate changes as necessary.
  • Reviews all project documents including estimates, design drawings, specifications, and contracts
  • Oversee project closeout procedures and manage warranty processes, addressing active claims as needed
  • Work effectively with departments critical to project success, including Virtual Design Construction, Engineering, Estimating, and Fabrication.

Your Expertise

  • You have 5-10+ years of experience in telecommunications, structured cabling or commercial project management. 
  • You’re experienced with design-build, hard bid, and negotiated projects.
  • You have your RCDD certification
  • Bonus points if you’ve earned your Construction Management degree, Engineering degree, Construction Management Program certificate, or another related degree
  • Bonus points if you have extensive knowledge in construction management software. Procore, Autodesk, Bluebeam and Accu-bid.
