Position: Commissioning Engineer
Reports to: Commissioning Engineering Manager
Location: Conesville, Ohio
Salary Range: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour (Eligible for Overtime)
We consider several factors when preparing a compensation package for successful candidates.
Superior is looking for a Commissioning Engineer who will support the Field and Project Operations teams through commissioning planning and execution. The Commissioning Engineer focuses on developing and reviewing methods of procedure (MOPs), supporting lockout/tagout (LOTO) planning, and ensuring systems are prepared for safe and efficient energization. The role is based on a job site in Conesville, Ohio.
Key Responsibilities
- Create energization and electrical performance methods and procedures (MOPs) documents
- Support LOTO planning and energized work coordination
- Lead portions of pre-energization readiness reviews
- Identify and communicate risks related to startup and system integration
- Support quality assurance and commissioning efforts at jobsites
- Track commissioning progress and support issue resolution
- Collaborate with manufacturers, distributors, and testing partners
- Interface with owners and construction managers to address technical questions and remediate issues
- Coordinate closely with Field Operations, Project Operations, and Engineering teams
Your Expertise
- Required: You have experience in the design, construction, and installation of building electrical systems
- Required: You have experience in quality control, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems
- Required: You have strong technical understanding of medium and low voltage power distribution systems, including switchgear, UPS, generators, and redundant power systems
- Required: You have experience with NFPA, NEC, NFPA 70E and other applicable codes and standards
- Bonus Points: You have earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Bonus Points: You have are proficient in construction management software such as CX Alloy, Procore, ACC, and BIM 360
